SKYLANDS CLUB RECREATIONAL RIDING PROGRAM

One of the goals of the Skylands Cycling Club is to promote and provide organized rides for all member riding levels. Currently, many announced rides attract members training for the racing season. While these rides are invigorating they can be harsh on the rider just getting started or needing to build riding endurance. Voila….! enter the club's Recreational Riding Program. Rides announced under this tab are offered for members who want a more relaxed organized group ride. These rides will average 14 to 16 mls/hr. (C pace) and 16 – 18 mls/hr. (B pace). Ride distances will range from 20 to 40 miles over easy terrain.. ( as best can be found over 20 miles or so in Sussex County). Club Rec Rides will have a ride leader who will serve as a sweeper. Cue sheets will be distributed and depending on the length of the ride and group make up, a rest or food stop will be included. The purpose of the REC RIDE PROGRAM is to bring out intermediate bike riders from around Sussex County to join in on Skylands rides.

Kittatinny Non-boating weekend starts are from LimeCrest Road. (east side)

We are sharing the leadership on MAF rides out of Kittatinny Valley State Park that are scheduled, as "easy rides" or rec rides for Skylands who wish to ride with others.

These will be C or B pace rides that will be good for people who, shall we say, need to regroup at the blinker light!!!

Rides may be cancelled due to bad weather. Cue sheets provided. No rider dropped.
